New Travel Health Clinic

We are pleased to announce the start of a dedicated travel health clinic at the Surgery. The clinic is run by practice nurses Judith and Ros with Dr Pippa Xerri on alternate Thursday and Friday afternoons.

Minchinhampton Surgery is now an accredited Yellow Fever Centre so patients can have all vaccinations that may be needed for a trip, conveniently here at the Surgery. Not all the vaccinations are free of charge from the NHS. There is a charge for the private vaccinations: Rabies, Yellow Fever, Japanese Encephalitis, Tickborne Encephalitis, Meningitis ACWY and Hepatitis B.

Please book into the clinic to discuss travel plans and vaccinations needed at least 6 weeks before departure. The travel questionnaire can be downloaded from the ‘forms’ section of our website or collected from Reception. Complete the form as comprehensively as possible, then if possible, drop it in to the Surgery before your appointment so we can check the latest advice for your destination, saving you time at your appointment. Failing that, bring your completed form with you to your clinic appointment. We look forward to meeting all your travel needs!

Don’t forget when booking that ‘exotic bargain holiday’, vaccination charges can add to the cost of your holiday. This must always be considered as we would recommend patients are fully immunised as advised by their clinician
